Jet Aviation Zurich FBO has served more than 600 business aviation flights at Zurich Airport
Despite the two-month preparation for the 46 annual World Economic Forum in Davos, Jet Aviation Zurich FBO had to use all the resources to serve a record traffic in this year. During the three days of the forum by the company at Zurich Airport has been served 612 flights (306 planes), 1830passengers (excluding the members of the helicopter transfer to Davos and back). During the same period, the company sold 1.5 million liters of aviation fuel. The long-hall business jets were served by Jet Aviation Zurich FBO at the military airfield in Dübendorf. Last year, the company’s FBO has served 582 flights and 1,485 passengers at Zurich Airport.
To cope with the high traffic, Jet Aviation Zurich FBO increased its staff by the staff from other branches (Geneva, Dusseldorf, Berlin and Munich) and increased VIP transport for 15 cars.
The company is completely satisfied with its work. It was originally planned that the com
pany will serve a somewhat smaller number of aircraft. The main feature of the forum was the increase in the number of large business jets that have made certain corrections to the airport itself. However, the professionalism of the staff was able to reduce the inconvenience to all scheduled flights to a minimum, and the participants and guests hardly notice minor changes in his personal schedule.
This year the WEF was attended by two thousand delegates from 140 countries. The main theme of the forum was the “fourth industrial revolution” and the related opportunities and challenges. Among other issues discussed at Davos are climate change, global security, energy prices and the onset of a new era of low growth.
Forum operates since 1971 and each year attracts thousands of professionals who are ready to pay 22 000 Swiss francs ($ 23,600) for participation and for membership – up to half a million Swiss francs.
